Louisiana's Largest Poker Run! Tickfaw 200 Poker Run takes over the Springfield and Blood River Marina every May. Tickfaw 200 Charities is a Louisiana Non-Profit 501(c)3 organization that was founded with a mission to improve its local community by providing services, resources and funding to its citizens, law enforcement and related charitable organizations. Its founding board is made up of local business owners and managers that saw a need to carry on this event and other future events for the benefit of its community. Our guiding principle is to help our waterways and the populous that stands behind them be the best they can be for our natural and human resources to ensure that these waterways are here for future generations to enjoy.

The City of Walker Parks and Recreation Departmenthosts a family friendly Mardi Gras themed Bark in the Park and Kroux of Barkus pet parade every Mardi Gras Season. All activities will be held in Sidney Hutchinson Park. The 1/2 mile parade will begin by the Challenger's Field parking lot and follow the walking path in the park.
